Dive into the vibrant world of the Washington Color School in this immersive workshop where color takes center stage.

Inspired by the groundbreaking work of artists like Morris Louis, Kenneth Noland, Alma Thomas, and Sam Gilliam you’ll explore techniques that celebrate bold stripes, flowing color fields, and the emotional power of abstraction. Participants will learn about the movement’s emphasis on color and form, and experiment with unique painting techniques such as staining, pouring, or using painters tape to create crisply executed lines. Create Your Own Masterpiece: Let your intuition guide you as you design a dynamic, color-forward work of art that reflects your personal style.

Ticket includes art history lesson and all art materials including a 9x12 inch canvas to paint. Coveralls/ smocks will be provided to protect your clothing.
