Studio Night | Helen Frankenthaler

  • 311 East 3rd Street New York, NY, 10009 United States (map)

Helen Frankenthaler was an American Abstract Expressionist painter best known for her “Soak Stain” paintings. Born in Manhattan, Frankenthaler was influenced by the New York based abstract artists that came before her, including Jackson Pollock and Hans Hofmann. She is considered one of the greatest color field painters of her time.

Learn about Helen Frankenthaler and create your own “soak stain” paintings. Art supplies, instruction & wine are included.

For this event, we will also be welcoming our friends at Women of Culture, a community designed to connect, empower and inspire women through engagement with the arts.

To keep everyone safe, we’re requiring vaccination and limiting this event to 20 participants so that everyone has plenty of room to spread out. Masks are required when walking around the venue, but not when sitting at your table or drinking wine.
