Create your own Cut Paper Collage, inspired by the vitality and joy of life

Towards the end of his life, Henri Matisse created a series of colorful and vibrant collages which captured the whimsical energy of falling foliage. He used a technique he called “drawing with scissors," and referred to this series as his ”Cut Outs.” After Matisse cut out shapes from large pieces of painted paper, he then assembled them on board to create stunning, colorful compositions, which celebrated the vitality of life.

During this event, you'll learn about Matisse’s world famous Cut Outs and create your own by painting, cutting, and assembling paper on board.

Ticket includes art history lesson and all art materials.
