Create a final artwork incorporating street art techniques that you learned about in session 1 and practiced in session 2. We’ll conclude by photographing our works and crafting compelling artist statements that reflects the influence of legends like Basquiat and Banksy.

Begin your journey into Abstract Expressionism with an introduction to the movement's key concepts, materials, techniques, and sources of inspiration. Then, brainstorm ideas, develop your artistic skills, and create your own expressive artwork.

Immerse yourself in Abstract Expressionism at the Met: engage with your cohort to discuss contemporary exhibitions, analyze the groundbreaking works on display, ask thought-provoking questions, and draw inspiration for your own creative practice during our first meeting.
Abstract Expressionism- Session #3: Establishing a Studio Practice
This workshop will guide you in finalizing techniques to recognize when your work is 'done.' Building on skills from Sessions 1 and 2, we will focus on completing your artwork and learning how to document the final piece. We'll also demystify the life of an artist, exploring everything from sketchbook practice to crafting an artist statement that reflects the insights and inspirations you've gained throughout the series.
