Alex Leav (b. 1997, New York) is a visual artist who lives and works in New York City. She received a BA in History from the University of Michigan (2019) and an MFA from the School of Visual Arts (2022).

Alex’s work investigates identity and authenticity in the age of social media. Her paintings – which often feature pastel-y jumbles of overlapping figures, objects, and screen-shaped forms – explore the commodification of the self through digital advertising and branding.
