Studio Night | Hilma af Klint

  • 311 East 3rd Street New York, NY, 10009 United States (map)

Hilma af Klint was a Swedish artist known for her large-scale abstract paintings and botanical drawings. Her works combined many aspects of scientific illustration, geometry, and color theory. Like most abstract artists at the time, many of her works were inspired by Spiritism and Theosophy. In this event, you’ll learn about Hilma af Klint’s journey and paint your own works on canvas incorporating color and geometry.

Tickets includes lesson, art materials and wine.

For this event, we will also be welcoming our friends at Women of Culture, a community designed to connect, empower and inspire women through engagement with the arts.

Masks are required when walking around the venue, but not when sitting at your table or drinking wine.
